The route crosses the High Atlas to the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, continues towards Zagora and the Oasis of El Gettara for a first night in the mountains, then heads on foot into the dunes of Labied and the great dunes of Chegaga for sandboarding and a desert sunset, before returning to Marrakech via Ouarzazate.

Day 1: Marrakech → Tichka Pass → Aït Benhaddou
An early start from Marrakech towards the Atlas Mountains. You will cross the Tichka Pass, reaching 2,260 metres in altitude, with stops to admire breathtaking landscapes and visit the Berber villages of Agouim and Ighrem. By the end of the day you will arrive at Aït Benhaddou, a ksar listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight at a local hotel.
Day 2: Aït Benhaddou → Zagora → Oasis of El Gettara
After breakfast, you will leave Aït Benhaddou and head towards Zagora. Along the way, you will be welcomed for lunch with a local family, an immersive experience in Berber culture. In the afternoon, you will continue to the Oasis of El Gettara, the starting point of your desert adventure. You will set up camp for the night in the mountains, under a starry sky.
Day 3: Oasis of El Gettara → Dunes of Labied
In the morning, after breakfast at camp, you will begin a 2-hour trek across desert landscapes. You will stop for lunch in the shade of an acacia tree. In the afternoon, you will walk for another 2 hours to reach the dunes of Labied, where you will set up camp for the night.
Day 4: Dunes of Labied → Dunes of Chegaga → Return to Zagora
After breakfast, you will set off on a 3-hour trek across the desert to reach the great dunes of Chegaga. You will have lunch on site and spend the afternoon exploring the dunes, sandboarding or simply admiring the vastness of the landscape. In the late afternoon, a 4x4 will pick you up to take you back to Zagora, where you will spend the night at a hotel.
Day 5: Zagora → Ouarzazate → Marrakech
After breakfast, you will leave Zagora to return to Marrakech. Along the way, you will stop in Ouarzazate, the "gateway to the desert", to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the film studios, famous for hosting numerous film shoots. You will have lunch in Ouarzazate before continuing on to Marrakech. On arrival, you will spend the night in a traditional riad.
